FAQ

Q=Questian,  A=Answer

Q: Does it cost anything to participate?
A: No. I organise this just for fun.  The whole thing is quite informal.  We will stay in tent in the climbing area, and in Norway
anyone can set up tents for free as long as it is placed a certain distance from houses.

Q: When and how will Anders (me) go to Lofoten?
A: My plan is to go by car from Ler (30km south of Trondheim) on Friday 30th of august, and arrive Lofoten the same evening.  I will go back home the 8th of August in the early morning.

Q: Is it possible to come alone?
A: Yes.  The plan is to get to know new climbers at the climb camp, and climb with different people every day.

Q: Can I invite other friends?
A: Yes, of course.

Q: Do I need to bring a lot of natural pro (cams, friends, nuts,  hex's, etc...) in
order to climb in Lofoten
A: Probably yes, since there are no much fixed bolts in the rocks there. It's also a good idea knowing how to use them.
For more information, see here!   (From the  guide "Climbing in the Magic Islands").

Q: How do we organise food.
A: I suggest that we organise the food in Lofoten, and maybe cook together

Q: Do you have any travelling suggestions:
A: Yes, look here!

Q: Is the climbing week for experienced climbers only?
A: Referring to the guide "Climbing in the magic Island":  " Foreign climbers coming to the Lofoten Islands are strongly
encouraged to learn to place nuts and natural protection before arriving lofoten- and to leave their electric drills and
bolts at home".

Q: Where to stay in Lofoten, and where to meet.
A: The plan is to stay in tent in a place called "Paradiset" (the paradise).
